Sarah Allison Turner

Sarah Allison Turner was born and raised in the mountains of Bluefield, West Virginia. She knew a very early age exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up. “Looking back I kind of feel sorry for my parents because I literally would never stop singing,” says Sarah. The eighteen year old singer/songwriter is finishing up her first year of college and has plans of transferring to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to pursue a degree in music business and at the same time be closer to Nashville. Sarah has played numerous places in Nashville such as the Commodore, Nashville Palace, The Listening Room, Hotel Indigo, and the famous writer’s night at the Bluebird Café.  In Sarah’s music you will find styles such as Loretta Lynn’s and Miranda Lambert’s but “probably my biggest inspiration for my music is my dad. As a kid our television was always on CMT and my dad was always strumming along on his guitar. Not only is he an incredible writer but I couldn’t ask for better support from him and my mom,” says Sarah. Sarah started playing piano at age 6, writing at age 10, and playing guitar at age 16. “I had so many bands when I was kid and I have songbooks full of the silly things I would write about. It wasn’t until age 15 that I began to write seriously.” Sarah says all she has ever wanted to do is sing country music. “I feel like God has blessed me in so many ways and as I approach this journey into country music he will always be looking out for me. “I keep the lord in mind always. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” – Psalm 16:8. I believe every wrong turn I’ve made is in his plan for me and if all I can do is write a song out of the experience then well, I’ve accomplished something. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and friends who support me in every step of the way and for that I am grateful. For those of you reading this I promise you will hear more from me” 🙂
